This document is intended to augment the information in the Coverage Validator Help file. If you have not read the help file we encourage you to do so. Coverage Validator is a powerful and complex product, reading the help manual will help you use Coverage Validator more efficiently.
There are multiple example applications, demonstrating native and .Net code coverage, and usage with IIS. Each example application is supplied as source code with its own project files in the examples folder in the installation directory.
When the first run wizard is run you have the option to download pre-built versions of the tutorials. The pre-built versions will work correctly if you have installed Coverage Validator in the default installation location. If you install somewhere else the pre-built tutorials debug information will indicate incorrect directory and filename locations.
You can see all the tutorials listed to the left of this tutorial. Each tutorial introduces you to a different aspect of Coverage Validator.
If you would like a tutorial on how to use Coverage Validator to perform a given task, we will be happy to provide a tutorial, just let us know what topics you need the tutorial to cover. Send your suggestions to support@softwareverify.com.
